Project 11.2.8
A Parking Lot for the Church of OLAP
A Birthday Gift to Mama Mary
A Thanksgiving Offering to Our Lady

Msgr. Jesus-Romulo Rañada About Project 11.2.8
By Msgr. Jesus Romulo C. Rañada

First of all, I wish to thank you for the generous support you have given OLAP from its inception 20 years ago onwards, and which I have witnessed personally during these four years of my pastoral ministry with you. I thank you especially for supporting Project 848 which we initiated last year and which enabled us to raise 9.2M, truly beyond all our expectations, and so helped us to quickly complete the building of our new Parish Pastoral Center integral to the Church.

Now, this Center is fully operational, servicing the needs of our parishioners, making available to different parish groups adequate facilities for various meetings, formation programs and fellowships, providing more space for several parish social outreach and services like free dental, medical, and even livelihood assistance. With an impressive belfry on top, a new and more accessible Blessed Sacrament Chapel in the middle level, a fully renovated columbary and ossuary beneath the Church, the completion of the building and full operation of the new pastoral center should have been enough, enough for us to take things easy and to rest a while.

However, rest we cannot simply because of an urgent and even more pressing need: a parking space that will ease the existing heavy traffic along Mindanao Avenue which OLAP very much contributes especially on Sundays. It has grown even worse recently with the opening of NLEX through Mindanao Avenue – staring us in the face and calling for an immediate, responsible and resolute answer from us. And so I come again to you and appeal for your generous help to enable us to acquire a parking lot for our beloved Church of Our Lady of the Annunciation.

OLAP ushers in Emerald Year 2012
As we move forward the homestretch of our Emerald Anniversary Celebrations

By MYRNA F. VIRTUDAZO

As midnight marched across the world's time zones, people the world over welcomed the start of the New Year with festivities, fireworks and characteristic flair. Over at the Our Lady of the Annunciation Parish, the atmosphere was sans spectacles and soaring sparks but even so, it was significantly warm, joyful and grace-filled.

As the last hours ticked away toward the end of 2011, a Holy Mass was held with Msgr. Romy Rañada as priest presider  in thanksgiving for the blessings of the past year, and to welcome 2012 with faith, hope and love despite the uncertainties of the time.

Welcome to the Our Lady of the Annunciation Parish

OLAP The parish of the Our Lady of the Annunciation was formally established in 1992 by His Eminence Jaime Cardinal L. Sin, D.D. who also installed Fr. Jaime M. Zurbano, Jr. as the first parish priest. The name Our Lady of the Annunciation was suggested by Msgr. Arsenio Bautista. Today, this church dedicated to Our Lady of the Annunciation, stands as a symbol of the peoples faith in God and devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Mother of God. The people also consider it as their living spiritual legacy to their children and their children's children. Read more »

At last! The crystal treasure of a book has taken shape in our very own parish in commemoration of its 15th anniversary. The coffee table books, none other than OLAP: Serving God and People Towards Her Crystal Year, were delivered on a quiet Saturday morning of April 7, the day when the community was anticipating the joy and glory of Easter.
